Hebrews 13Faithful Worship under the Great Shepherd

Hebrews Chapter 13

Faith in the risen, unchanging Shepherd takes shape through love, hospitality, fidelity, contentment, worship, and faithful community life.

Hebrews 13:1-6
Love, Faithfulness, and Contentment
Chapter 13 passage section

Hebrews 13:1

“Let brotherly love continue” assumes that grace has already formed a family among the hearers. They had served fellow believers and stood beside sufferers; weariness must not be allowed to turn that history into memory alone.

This kinship rests in the Son who calls His people brothers and sisters and gives them common access to one High Priest. Love takes concrete form in truthful speech, forgiveness, material care, protection of the vulnerable, and correction aimed at restoration. It never requires concealing harm.

The final chapter begins here because every instruction that follows—hospitality, fidelity, contentment, generosity, and accountable leadership—depends upon a love sturdy enough to continue.
